Ellen Morrow, Interlibrary Loan and Outreach Librarian for the Littleton Public Library, was named Littleton's 2005 Employee of the Year on December 21, 2005. At a gathering of family, friends, and town employees - including selectmen - Ellen was awarded a plaque by Town Manager Jason Hoch and thanked for her 40 years of service.
Nominations are submitted by municipal employees; Ellen's said, "She is the heart of the library and an ambassador of good will for the town of Littleton," and cited for reader's advisory service and her "commanding knowledge of the collection." The nomination went on to say, "There's no job in the library she will not do or has not done."
Director Jeanne Dickerman praised Ellen's dedication and professionalism, saying she has earned patrons' trust and "treats everyone with compassion and respect." Ellen was chosen from a group of about twelve nominees.
