A GIFT OF LEARNING

Taking courses can be expensive. The learning can be priceless.
In this case, the courses can also be "priceless" - as in "with no price"!
The New Hampshire State Library, through the WebJunction New Hampshire (WJNH) project, has paid the cost for dozens of online courses. These courses are available for any New Hampshire library staff to take at no cost to the individual.
Microsoft programs like Word, Access, PowerPoint, or Excel can all be learned in online courses - at the time and place of your convenience.
You can take a course on "Networking Essentials" to prepare you for networking your library. You can take "WebJunction's Designing a Library Web Site" or even take "Media Relations" to learn about writing press releases, preparing for interviews, and handling calls from the media.
Need to learn Unix? Want to learn Dreamweaver? These and many other offerings are available.
Ready to start learning online? Go to WJNH (http://nh.webjunction.org), and sign in. (If you haven't already registered for WJNH this is free too!) Choose the "Learning Center" tab (at the top, under the banner with the image of the "Old Man"), then select the course you want. The directions are all there.
Learn! It can be priceless. |
