CHILIS Spring Conference

Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 9, 2006 for the CHILIS Spring Conference. The conference will be held at the Margate Resort in Laconia and will be hosted by Gail Drucker and the Laconia Public Library.

The spring conference will feature the Kids, Books and the Arts showcase. Thirteen performers, including musicians, storytellers, and illusionists, will present a brief sample of their "Treasure Reading" program. New Hampshire public libraries can apply for grants to bring these artists to their community this summer. In addition to the showcase performers, Tracey Dahl Carrier, the N.H. Summer Reading 2006 illustrator, will be on hand to sign posters and talk about her work.
