N.H. FILM AND TELEVISION OFFICE HAS NEW FILM SPECIALIST

Van McLeod, Commissioner of the Department of Cultural Resources is pleased to announce that Matthew Newton of Concord has been hired as Film Specialist to manage the operations of the New Hampshire Film and Television Office.
Matthew joined the Film Office on June 10, 2005. Already familiar with the workings of the Film Office, Matthew has been employed by the State of New Hampshire since July 2002, having split his duties between the Film Office and the Division of Travel and Tourism, where the Film Office resided until it was moved to the Department of Cultural Resources in July 2004.
He is a graduate of the Film Production program at Keene State College and has worked as a Production Office Coordinator at C.2K Entertainment in Los Angeles, CA and in a variety of capacities on feature film and television projects.
The New Hampshire Film and Television Office, as part of the N.H. Department of Cultural Resources, works to expand business activity and employment throughout the state by acting as a liaison between the film industry and the established network of government agencies, the state's film industry workforce, and private residential and business property owners.
The office is responsible for location assistance, public relations, literature publication and distribution, and general production support in an effort to broaden the cultural and economic impact of film and television production in the state.
