New Hampshire's newest statewide book award is The Flume: NH Teen Readers' Choice, sponsored by the New Hampshire Library Association. A committee of school and public librarians chose 13 titles from among the more than 150 books nominated by teens in grades 9-12. Over the next year, teens will read books from the list and then vote for their favorite title during April 2006. The "list of 13" includes fiction and nonfiction works and offers a variety of genres such as fantasy and historical fiction.
