LINDA FORD RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

Linda Ford, Librarian at the Gale Medical Library at the Littleton Regional Hospital was recently recognized for her outstanding work by NCLIS, the National Commission on Libraries and Information Science. In a ceremony on September 28th at the hospital, NCLIS Commissioner Steven Kennedy of Dunbarton, N.H., presented a plaque to Mrs. Ford in recognition of her outstanding work in providing exemplary service in consumer health information to the residents of the North Country.

In his remarks to the Hospital Board and staff, Commissioner Kennedy praised Mrs. Ford for her 25years of dedicated service to citizens in the North Country and expressed his appreciation for what she does to help consumers. Commissioner Kennedy said, "It was an honor to meet her and to learn about the programs that the library is working on to help citizens be more knowledgeable about health issues."
