IN REMEMBRANCE
Elsie Krug Senuta, 81 served several terms as a trustee at the Weeks Memorial Library in Lancaster in the 1990s; during that time she was a key member of the Second Century Campaign Committee which planned the renovation and expansion of the 93-year-old library.
Elsie kept all the fundraising records on a spreadsheet of her own devising, and presented meticulous and up-to-date reports at the weekly meetings.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., grew up in Puerto Rico and Montreal, and moved to Lancaster upon the death of her husband in 1971.
She was deeply involved in the cultural activities wherever she lived, especially in the North Country. When she moved to Kendal at Hanover in 2001, she donated her marimba to the music committee.
Elsie will be greatly missed by all who knew and worked with her. |
