IN REMEMBRANCE

Diana T. Anderson, 64, of Hopkinton died Sunday, January 12, 2003, surrounded by her family, of complications from lung cancer at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y., she received her MLS from Simmons College and moved to New Hampshire in 1964. Diana had recently retired as the librarian at Henniker Middle School, where she had worked 15 years. She came to the New Hampshire State Library in 1964 where she was Library Consultant for the Concord District. She consulted at the Concord Public Library and helped establish professional libraries at Concord Hospital, Northern Telecom and the N.H. Education Association. In the early 1980's she co-owned Evergreen Fabrics in Concord with the wife of former State Librarian Emil Allen. She is survived by her husband, LeRoy, of 37 years and three daughters. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Concord Public Library, c/o Pat Immen. Contributions will go to literacy outreach programs.
