WORLD WAR II POSTER EXHIBIT AT STATE LIBRARY
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day, the N.H. State Library will be hosting a World War II Poster Exhibit. The exhibit will open on December 7th, and run for two months. The State Library's collection represents posters issued by government agencies, businesses, and private organizations, which linked the military front with the home front. These wartime posters united the power of art with the power of advertising. This will be the first time these "agents for making war goals the personal mission of every citizen" will be shown at a public display at the State Library. More information on this special exhibit will be sent to libraries during November. |
