A print copy of the 2000 Public Library Annual Report will be mailed to public libraries in November 2000. The annual survey collects current information about public service outlets, holdings, staffing, income, expenditures, circulation services, and hours open. More importantly, it helps to provide a picture of libraries on a state and nationwide basis. The report is authorized by law, RSA 202-A:12.

Extra copies of the 2000 annual report will be able to be downloaded and printed in Word or pdf format at http://www.state.nh.us/nhsl/.

The annual survey is due March 1, 2001. Libraries that do not return an annual report by this date may not be eligible for federal LSTA funding in 2001. Libraries are strongly encouraged to complete the annual report and the directory information sheet by the deadlines stated so data for directories can be compiled in a timely manner.
