ALA ADVOCACY HONOR ROLL
At its annual meeting in Chicago in July the American Library Association (ALA) honored library advocates from across the country. ALA asked the state library and library associations to nominate library advocates from their respective states. The State Library, in conjunction with the N.H. Library Association nominated five people who have been, and in some cases still are, strong advocates for New Hampshire.
Emerson Greenaway, Mable Winchell, Donald Vincent, Shirley Adamovich, and Patricia Skinner are the first library advocates identified for this year's recognition. ALA plans to make this an ongoing program. Since other advocates for New Hampshire will be identified next year, please be thinking about those people who have been strong advocates for our libraries. |
