Concord, N.H., resident and photographer, Henry P. Moore traveled with the Third New Hampshire Regiment to South Carolina and Georgia in 1862 and 1863. This book of his Civil War photographs was designed to accompany an exhibition at the N.H. Historical Society.

The rare 1804 silver dollars were actually not minted for the first time until 1834, when they were created as diplomatic gifts to be presented to foreign dignitaries in Siam and Muscat. Edmund Roberts, a native of Portsmouth, was selected to deliver the gifts. In this fascinating book, Bowers provides information on numismatics; Portsmouth in the early part of the 19th century; Edmund Roberts and his family; the voyages to deliver the coins; and the Sultan of Muscat.

This definitive guide to training and working oxen written by Drew Conroy, who teaches Diary Science at the Thompson School of Applied Science, includes the history of cattle as draft animals, the common breeds, how to keep oxen healthy, and entering your team in competitions and public events. The handbook also contains a glossary of ox terms and an extensive bibliography. Conroy and his oxen compete regularly at New England fairs and have appeared in films.

Originally called Timberlane, a part of Haverhill, MA, until 1741, the town received its charter and its name Hampstead from Governor Benning Wentworth in 1749. This book, written for the town's 250th anniversary, and intended to cover the year 1899 through the present, includes some general early history of the town.
