IN REMEMBRANCE

The N.H. Library community was saddened to learn of the recent death of Ann Marie (Kellner) Geisel, 51, who died October 8, 1999, at her home after a battle with colon cancer. She was born in Melrose, Mass., on December 28, 1947, the daughter of Irene (Liptrott) and John Paul Kellner.

At the time of her death, she was the Director of the Peterborough Town Library where she worked since 1975. She was active in her profession and in her community, serving as a member of the Advisory Board of the Northeast Document Conservation Center, the American Library Association, the New England Library Association, the N.H. Library Association, the Nubanusit Library Coop, the N.H. State Library Advisory Council, and, most recently, chair of the N.H. State Librarian Selection Committee. In addition, she was active with the Greenfield Girl Scouts, the St. Patrick's Church Women's Guild, the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, a former president of the Peterborough Kiwanis Club, and the Granite State Antique and Appraisers Association.

The funeral was held on October 14, 1999 at St. Patrick's Church. Burial is in St. Peter's Cemetery, Peterborough, N.H. Mrs. Geisel will be missed by all her colleagues.
