The Gay-Kimball Library in Troy moved into its enlarged and renovated building in May 1999. Floor space was doubled to give a total of 5,274 sq. ft. Major changes to the building were: expansion of the meeting room, kitchenette added, an elevator to serve three levels, two accessible restrooms, new stack space and reading room, and new carpeting and paint throughout. The project cost was $421,211. Local government and library funds used: $322,187 and gifts totaled: $99,024.
