IN REMEMBRANCE
The New Hampshire library community is saddened to learn of the recent deaths of the following residents who actively contributed to New Hampshire libraries over the years.
Pearl M. Devlin died on February 18 at her Washington home. Mrs. Devlin graduated from the University of New Hampshire's library science program in 1970, served as Windham's town librarian from 1967 to 1978, and was Windham's first school librarian. Upon moving to Washington, her library work continued at the Shedd Free Library where she organized many art exhibits and worked toward the computerization of the library.
Horace L. Roberts III of Warner died on March 12 at Concord Hospital. From 1972 to 1982, Mr. Roberts was instructional media consultant for the New Hampshire State Department of Education. He was subsequently an associate professor of English and the audio-video coordinator for the New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord. |
