HISTORICAL SOCIETY VOLUNTEERS
The New Hampshire Historical Society is seeking volunteers to assist at the Society's two facilities in Concord. Volunteer coordinator Lois Meredith sees this as a great opportunity for volunteers to expand their knowledge of New Hampshire history while working with museum curators, librarians, and archivists. People are needed for a variety of tasks - either behind the scenes or right up front.
Opportunities at the museum store, curatorial and education departments at the Museum of New Hampshire History include greeting the public and explaining exhibits, staffing the retail store, assisting in research projects and filing. In the library and administrative departments, located at the Society's research library, there are opportunities to assist library patrons, greet visitors, help to clean and repair books, catalog books, perform scanning operations, and assist in various clerical projects.
Anyone who is interested may pick up an application either at the Museum of New Hampshire History in Eagle Square or at the New Hampshire Historical Society's library at 30 Park Street. You may also call 225-3381 to request an application through the mail. |
