Math Curse (Delacorte) by Jon Scieszka has been selected by the children of New Hampshire as the winner of the 1997 Great Stone Face Children's Book Award.

The Great Stone Face Award was established in 1980 by the Children's Librarians of New Hampshire (CHILIS), a section of the New Hampshire Library Association. Children in grades 3-6 vote for their favorite book from a list of 25 recently published titles. The statewide winner receives a Pepi Herrman hand-cut crystal award.
