Our current statewide subscription for Gale's Biography Resource Center is coming up for renewal soon. Another vendor, EBSCOHost, is providing us with a free trial of their biography product, EBSCO Biography Reference Center. The CHILIS Spring Conference will take place on Thursday, March 25 at SNHU in Manchester. It will feature the Kids, Books and the Arts showcase. Registration forms can be found on the CHILIS website at www.nhlibrarians.org/chilis

The NH State Library and the NH Library Association are sponsoring a Small Libraries Summit on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Local Government Center in Concord. Libraries in communities of fewer than 3.000 residents have been invited to attend the Summit, which will focus on issues such as labor laws, resource sharing and welcoming libraries.

Applications for Kids, Books and the Arts grants can be found at www.nh.gov/nhsl/services/librarians/kids_books.html. The deadline is Wednesday, April 7 at 4pm.

The NHSL plans to open the annual NH Public Library Annual Report (NHPLAR) data collection for 2009 by 01 March 2010, with the collection closing on 19 April 2010. Any library which has not started their data entry by 31 March will be contacted with a reminder. Watch for information online at www.nh.gov/nhsl/lds/public_library_stats.html
