Humanities to Go!
A library-based reading and discussion series. Each program is led by a scholar who opens with an informal talk, which usually includes background information about the author and thoughts and questions about the book, followed by open discussion with and among participants. A program of the New Hampshire Humanities Council in collaboration with the New Hampshire State Library.
New Hampshire Book Bag
A program that provides collections of literature to book discussion groups throughout New England. A program of the New Hampshire State Library in collaboration with the New Hampshire Humanities Council.
Read to Feed
A reading motivation/service learning program through which children are inspired to read more books for pleasure, while raising money, through sponsored reading, to help end world hunger and improve the environment.
Summer Reading Program
An annual statewide program to encourage year-round reading for pleasure by children in the enjoyable, stress-free setting of their local public library. Sponsored by CHILIS, the Children's Librarians Section of the New Hampshire Library Association.
