> Ongoing Library Book Sales

Many New Hampshire libraries hold book sales on specific days during the year. The libraries listed on this page have ongoing sales, some are instead of and others are in addition to a scheduled sale.

Baker Free Library holds an ongoing book sale available during operating hours: M,T,W,Th 10am-8pm; F 10am-7pm; Sat. 9am-1pm

The Barrington Public Library has a running booksale during all library open hours (M,T,Th 10-6. Wed. 10-8, Friday 10-5, Sat 10-3) Lots of books for great prices...5 for $1.00 for paperback (or .25 each) and 4 for $1.00 hardcovers (or .25 cents each) Some new items and A/V are priced $1.00 and up.

Chesley Memorial Library has an ongoing book sale in their front hallway.

The Dover Public Library (73 Locust Street, Dover, NH 03820) has a year-round book sale going on during all of its open hours.

Friends of the Effingham Public Library, located at 30 Town House Road, just off Rte. 153 in Effingham, NH have a monthly book sale at the library the third Saturday of the month (except for July) from 9:30 am to noon.

Gilman Library has an ongoing book sale. Older books are $.50 for hardcovers, $.25 or 6/$1.00 for paperbacks.
Newer books are priced as marked.

The Goodwin Library has an ongoing book sale year round.  Adult Hardcovers, Audio books & Videos are $1.00, Paperbacks are .50 or 3/$1.00 and magazines are FREE.  Children's books & videos are .50 or 3/$1.00.  The address is 422 Main Street, Farmington, NH 03835. Phone is (603) 755-2944.

When the Harvey-Mitchell Memorial Library is open they have an ongoing book sale in a storage room. Hours are Tues-Fri 10am-8pm; Sat 10am-2pm.

Friends of the Hills Memorial Library Booksale is the 2nd Sunday of each month, 12-3pm at
49 Ferry Street (Rte 111, two houses past the library) Hudson, NH.

Holderness Library has an ongoing booksale which is always at the Holderness Library (866 US Rt 3, Holderness NH) 603-968-7066.

The Howe Library in Hanover has an ongoing book sale with lots of gently used books at great prices. Hardcovers: $3.00 ; Paperbacks: $1.00 ; DVDs, CDs, VHS: $.50

Jackson Public Library has an ongoing book sale on their front porch which goes on 24/7 with an honor system of payment.

Jaffrey Public Library has a small ongoing book sale throughout the year in the library lobby during regular library hours.

James A. Tuttle Library has a small ongoing book sale. Library hours: Mon. & Wed. 2-6pm; Tues. & Thurs. 2-8pm; Fri. 9am - noon; Sat. 10am-4pm.

Langdon Public Library (Newington, NH) has an ongoing book sale.

The North Conway Library has a small book sale year round in their lobby. They are located on 2719 Main Street in North Conway.

The Pease Public Library in continually has a small supply of books for sale at the library.

Philbrick-James Library in Deerfield has an ongoing book sale in the front hall of the library. They re-stock the shelves as books are sold. Call Evelyn DeCota at 463-7187 for directions.

Plaistow Public Library has an ongoing book sale: Hardcovers ($1.00), paperbacks ($.50), bargain books and children's books are also for sale.

The Friends of the Peterborough Town Library Used Book Store at the Kyes-Sage House is open from May through mid-November in the house next to the library (14 Concord Street, Peterborough, NH) Thurs-Fri 10-5, Saturday 10-1. Library discards, extra-special donations, and more. Phone: 603-924-8043.

Wadleigh Memorial Library in Milford has an ongoing sale in the basement level of the library: Hardcovers are $1.00 each; Paperbacks are $.50 each or 3 for $1.00; Audio/Video materials are $1.00 each.

Webster Free Public Library has an ongoing book sale of approximately 8 shelves of books and a few A/V materials.  Paperbacks are $0.25; everything else is $0.50.  The booksale is available during the library's open hours:  Sundays Noon-4 PM; Mondays 1-8 PM; Wednesdays 9 AM-8 PM. Westmoreland Public Library has  an ongoing booksale table at the Westmorland Town Hall, which is open Tuesdays through Fridays 9 AM to 3 PM.
