workers of Celestica USA, Inc., including on-site leased workers of Adecco
working at Celestica USA, Salem-EMS, who became totally or partially separated
from employment on or after March 14, 2004 through two years from the date of
certification are eligible to apply for adjustment assistance under Section
223 of the Trade Act of 1974 and are also eligible to apply for alternative
trade adjustment assistance under Section 246 of the Trade Act of 1974.
The company was certified by the U.S. Department of Labor
and became effective April 7, 2005 and expires April 7, 2007. NH Employment
Security (NHES) administers the Trade Adjustment Assistance program. The
program is available to workers who lose their jobs or whose hours of work are
reduced as a result of increased imports. Workers may be eligible for training,
job search allowance, relocation allowance and reemployment services to help
prepare for and obtain suitable employment.
All former employees of Celestica USA Inc., Salem-EMS,
Salem, New Hampshire including on-site leased workers from Adecco, who became
totally or partially separated from employment on or after March 14, 2004,
should contact their nearest NH Employment Security (NHES) Office/NH WORKS for
further details. The NHES/NH WORKS Office in Salem is located on 29 South
Broadway.NHES has contacted all New
Hampshire employees affected by this certification by mail.
