CONCORD--All workers of Batesville Casket Company, Nashua Manufacturing Operations, Nashua, NH, who became totally or partially separated from employment on or after June 24, 2004 through two years from the date of certification are eligible to apply for adjustment assis­tance under Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 and are also eligible to apply for alternative trade adjustment assistance under Section 246 of the Trade Act of 1974.

The company was certified by the U.S. Department of Labor and became effective July 19, 2005 and expires July 19, 2007. NH Employment Security (NHES) administers the Trade Adjustment Assistance program. The program is available to workers who lose their jobs or whose hours of work are reduced as a result of increased imports. Workers may be eligible for training, job search allowance, relocation allowance and reemployment services to help prepare for and obtain suitable employment.

All former employees of Batesville Casket Company, Nashua Manufacturing Operations, Nashua, NH, who became totally or partially separated from employment on or after June 24, 2004, should contact their nearest NH Employment Security (NHES) Office/NH WORKS for further details. The NHES/NH WORKS Office in Nashua is located on 6 Townsend West.  NHES has contacted all New Hampshire employees affected by this certification by mail.
