In the event that a layoff becomes necessary, we can provide you with information and forms to make the transition as convenient as possible for your employees. The Unemployment Compensation program provides benefits to eligible workers who become unemployed through no fault of their own.
Employers are taxed for this purpose. Unemployment Compensation taxes are paid by employers under two tax systems, Federal and State. A Field Agent is available in each local office to assist you with computation of your unemployment compensation taxes. (See NHES Agency locations and ask for the Field Agent.)
