Employment ProjectionsNew Hampshire Employment Projections by Industry and Occupation
Projections of employment by industry and occupation covering a ten-year time span are estimated biennially. The latest edition estimates employment for 2006 and projects employment to 2016 for 116 industries and more than 700 occupations. Industry tables include numeric and percent change. Occupational tables include growth rate, projected openings from growth and replacement needs, training categories, and an “occupational descriptor” that summarizes the expected employment prospects for an occupation. Short-term Employment Projections New!

Projections of employment by industry and occupation covering an eight-quarter time span are estimated twice each year, based on either the second quarter or the fourth quarter of the year. The latest version estimates employment for the fourth quarter of 2007 and projects employment to the fourth quarter of 2009.

Job Outlook & LocatorJob Outlook and Locator, Occupations by Industry 2006-2016 is a tool that can help job seekers, career planners, and others connect to occupations by identifying the industries that most commonly employ workers in a specific occupation. Based on a long-term look at New Hampshire's economy, more than 640 occupations are included, each with a corresponding Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code and description, 2007 average hourly or annual wage, estimated 2006 employment, projected 2016 employment, projected growth rate for 2006-2016, estimated annual job openings, education and training requirements, and the employing industries.
