INCINERATOR ATTENDANT LEVEL I

Description

Incinerator Attendants work at small solid waste combustors, infectious (medical) waste incinerators, and resource facilities. A Level I Incinerator Attendant is eligible for employment at, but may not be in responsible charge of, any incineration facility.

Certification Requirements

  • Must have one year of experience in a related field
  • For Level I Attendants only, there is an attendant-in-training classification. A certified applicant shall be an attendant-in-training until the experience requirement is fulfilled.

  • Written examination required

Continuing Education

  • Required—operator training update program

Fees

Application $50.00
Annual renewal $50.00
Late renewal $75.00

Reciprocity

  • Permitted for applicants certified through the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME); others on a case-by-case basis

Residence/Citizenship

  • New Hampshire residency is not required
  • US citizenship is not required
