Description
Incinerator Advanced Operators may be in responsible charge of incinerators that burn solid waste and have no energy recovery. Class I (solid waste combustion/no energy recovery) incineration facilities require at least a Level III Advanced Operator to be in responsible charge.

Certification Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED. One year of experience may be substituted for one year of grade or high school, up to a maximum of one year.
- A minimum of three years experience in a related field. For Level III Advanced Operators, one year of college education may be substituted for one year of experience, up to a maximum of two years. High school education may not be substituted for experience.
- Education applied toward experience may not be applied toward the education requirement
