FIREWORKS DISPLAY SPECIALIST

Description

Assembles and sets off fireworks displays at fairs, expositions, or celebrations. Display fireworks are large fireworks designed primarily to produce visible or audible effects by combustion, deflagration, or detonation, including ground or aerial pieces, or special effects.

Certificate of Competency Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Submit proof of identification
  • Submit a completed application form in person
  • Pass a written competency test
  • Have been present and assisted an endorser with the display of Class B fireworks for a combined amount of at least ten separate displays comprising of a minimum each of 100 shells of three inches in diameter or larger
  • Supply the endorsement of at least two persons who hold a valid certificate of competency for the display of Class B fireworks, attest that the applicant was present and assisted the endorsers with the display of Class B fireworks, and submit documentation of the displays at which the applicant assisted
