Description
Remove unwanted hair from patrons for cosmetic purposes by applying an electric current to the hair root. Prepare patron's skin with antiseptic solution and insert sterile needles into hair follicle. Adjust equipment controls to regulate flow of electricity, then remove hair from follicle, using tweezers.

Licensure Requirements
- Must be of good professional character
- High school graduate
- Training of at least 1,100 hours in a school of electrology obtained no less than ten months prior to graduation and approved by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services
Examination
- Written and practical examinations required, except for applicants licensed through reciprocity
Continuing Education
- Completion of ten hours of continuing education during the previous two-year period is required for renewal, with five hours of live instruction
