BOILER AND PRESSURE VESSEL INSPECTOR

Description

Inspect boilers and pressure vessels, which are closed vessels in which water or other fluid is heated, steam is generated, steam is superheated, or any combination of those, under pressure or vacuum for use externally to itself by the direct application of heat from the combustion of fuels, or from electricity or nuclear energy.

Licensure Requirements

  • Applicants must hold an active National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors commission, and submit evidence with application

Examination

  • Written examination conducted by the National Board

  • Not required

Initial license $30.00
Annual renewal $20.00

Reciprocity:  Permitted for applicants who hold an active National Board commission and pay the license fee

Residence/Citizenship:  New Hampshire residency is not required; US citizenship is not required if legally able to work in the United States
