Description
Asbestos Management Planners assess the health hazard posed by the asbestos-containing material, determine the appropriate response actions, and develop a schedule for implementing the response.

Certification Requirements
- Must apply for a certificate in compliance with NH Administrative Rules Chapter Env-A 1810.14
- Provide documentation of attendance and completion of an approved management planning training course
- Provide documentation of passing the course with a score of 70 percent or greater on the written examination
- Provide documentation demonstrating the applicant has a minimum of an Associate's degree or certificate of completion in either: project planning, management, environmental sciences, engineering, construction, architecture, industrial hygiene, occupational health, or a related scientific field
- Provide documentation demonstrating the applicant has a minimum of six months experience in asbestos abatement fields including experience in asbestos management or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above
Examination
- Written examination consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions, attaining a score of 70 percent or greater
Continuing Education
- An annual four-hour asbestos inspector refresher course, a four-hour asbestos management planner refresher course and passing a written examination of 25 multiple-choice questions for each course with a score of 70 percent or greater are required
