Asbestos Inspectors identify and assess the condition of asbestos-containing materials.

Certification Requirements
- Must apply for a certificate in accordance with NH Administrative Rules Chapter Env-A 1810.13
- Provide documentation of attendance and completion of an initial approved training course for asbestos inspectors
- Provide documentation of attainment of a score of 70 percent or greater on the required written examination
- Provide documentation demonstrating the applicant has a minimum of six months experience in a comparable occupation or two months field experience under the supervision of a certified asbestos inspector or management planner
Examination
- Written examination consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions, attaining a score of 70 percent or greater
Continuing Education
- An annual four-hour refresher course and a passing a written examination of 25 multiple-choice questions with a score of 70 percent or greater are required
