Racing Occupations Requiring Licensure

All individuals and entities carrying out their duties on the racing premises must hold an occupational license. Each applicant must be at least 18 years of age unless otherwise specified. There are no requirements for examination, continuing education, residency, or citizenship. Exceptions and additional licensing requirements are listed below with the appropriate occupation. All licenses are valid through December 31 of the year of issue.

Only greyhound and harness racing occupations are specified, as there are no facilities in New Hampshire for thoroughbred racing. Licenses are required for occupations in thoroughbred racing, including, but not limited to, owners, breeders, authorized agents, sub-agents, nominators, jockeys, jockey apprentices, and jockey agents.

For complete details of requirements for applicants, review the Administrative Rules Chapter Pari 800.
