NH Employment Security (NHES) to mail Unemployment Tax Forms by the end of January

CONCORD--NH Employment Security (NHES) will mail out over 32,000 Form 1099Gs by the last week of January to all individuals receiving Unemployment Compensation benefit checks in 2007. As Unemployment Compensation may be subject to income tax (depending upon the individual’s total income and filing status), the Internal Revenue Service will also be provided with this information.

Anyone who has changed their mailing address since they last filed in 2007, should notify NH Employment Security of their new address by Tuesday, January 15, by utilizing the Change Name or Address link on the claims website. Anyone who expects to receive a Form 1099G from the Department, but who does not receive one by February 4, 2008, should call 1-800-266-2252, extension 57821, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. In the Manchester area call 656-6680 or contact the nearest NH Employment Security office.
