State of New Hampshire Receives Additional Extension
of Emergency Unemployment Compensation

Effective November 8, 2009, President Obama signed into law a new federal extension of unemployment benefits. The Emergency Unemployment Compensation has now been extended into Tier III, which allows for an additional 14 weeks of benefits to individuals that have either exhausted their Extended Benefits (EB) or Emergency Unemployment Compensation Tier II programs. If you have exhausted benefits from either program, you will need to visit your nearest local office to complete a blue unemployment application form. If you are an out-of-state claimant, you need to contact the Customer Service Line at 1-800-266-2252. If you are unsure if you have exhausted your benefits or have any questions, please call a customer service representative at the above number.

Customer Service representatives will not be available from 4:30pm on Nov 25. to 8am
on Nov. 28. The automated system will still be available to file claims during that time.
