Minimum Security Inmate Missing from Concord Housing Unit

(Concord, NH) On Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at approximately 9:45 pm, the NH Department of Corrections reported a minimum security inmate missing from the Corrections Transitional Work Center in Concord. Juan Manuel Rivera-Ortiz, age 30, was not in the unit during a head count and was placed on escape status.

Rivera-Ortiz is described as 6 foot 1 inch, 240 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing his green prison uniform.

Rivera-Ortiz was sentenced in Hillsborough County Superior Court to 2 1/2 - 7 years in prison for nine concurrent stalking convictions with 129 days of time served credited to his sentence. He began serving these sentences on April 24, 2013. He is eligible for parole on June 13, 2015 with a maximum release date of December 14, 2019.

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau and the New Hampshire State Police are investigating. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.
