Inmates to Participate in Breast Cancer Walk

(Goffstown, NH) Female Offenders at the New Hampshire State Prison for Women in Goffstown participate in the annual American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk in the prison’s recreational yard on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. More than 60 women will walk around the yard 34 times, which is the equivalent of five miles. This is the seventh year that the inmates have participated in this event. Some of the staff at the facility will also participate in this walk.

The annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a non-competitive walk to help fight breast cancer and give hope to those facing the disease.
