New Victim Services Administrator Picked for New Hampshire Department of Corrections
(Concord, N.H.) New Hampshire Department of Corrections Commissioner William L. Wrenn announced that Jessica Parent is the new Victim Services Administrator.
Administrator Parent is currently the Department’s Program Administrator for Female Offenders. She has worked for the Department since 2008 and has been a Corrections Counselor/Case Manager and a Victim/Witness Specialist.
“The Victim Services Administrator is a vital department function and Jessica’s varied experience within the Department will be beneficial to her as she carries out her new responsibilities,” Commissioner Wrenn said.
The Victim Services Bureau strives to support the rights and needs of people who are victims or survivors of crime. The Victim Services Bureau provides notification of offender status changes and other direct services. In Fiscal Year 2012, there were 7,418 documented contacts to victims and survivors in 2,138 households. This was a twelve percent increase over the previous year.
The Department of Corrections Victim Services Bureau has been providing these services to the public since 1997. Administrartor Parent begins her new duties on June 14, 2013.
