Minimum Security Inmate Missing from Manchester Halfway House

(Manchester, NH) The NH Department of Corrections announces that a minimum security inmate walked away from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester on July 13, 2012. Shane Alan Adkinson, 28, of Lowell, Massachusetts was granted permission to leave the facility to buy groceries and to get a haircut and he failed to return at his scheduled time of 6:20 pm. He was placed on walkaway status at approximately 6:45 pm.

Inmate Adkinson is described as a white male, 70 inches tall, 212 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos on his right shoulder and left forearm. He is serrving a sentence from Rockingham County Superior Court of 3 years minimum to 6 years maximum for second degree assault with 421 days of time served included in his sentence. He was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison on April 15, 2011. He is eligible for parole on February 16, 2013 with a maximum release date of February 16, 2016.

The Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau and the New Hampshire State Police are investigating. Anyone with information on this inmate's whereabouts should contact their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.
