Second Minimum Security Inmate Missing from Other Transitional Housing Unit

(Manchester, N.H.) The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announces that a second minimum security inmate walked away from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester on December 11, 2009. Rafael R. Rodriguez, 41, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, received permission to leave the facility to seek employment at 10:00 a.m. and failed to return. He was placed on walkaway status at 2:20 p.m.

Inmate Rodriguez is described as a Hispanic white male, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is serving a ten to thirty year sentence for sale, possession and manufacturing of drugs from Rockingham County Superior Court. He is eligible for parole on February 2, 2010 with a maximum release date of January 28, 2030.

This is separate from an earlier walkaway reported at the North End Transitional Housing Unit in Concord earlier today.

Anyone with information on this inmate’s whereabouts should contact state or local police or the Department of Corrections at 603-271-1804.
