NH Department of Corrections Announces New Director of Professional Standards
(Concord, NH) New Hampshire Department of Corrections Commissioner William L. Wrenn announced that Colon Forbes, a veteran state law enforcement official, has been sworn-in as the Director of Professional Standards.
Director Forbes began his law enforcement career with the New Hampshire State Police in 1976. During that time he worked as a Trooper, Detective, Major Crime Investigator, Commander of the Organized Crime Unit, Troop Commander, and Field Commander. His extensive experience includes the areas of public safety, insurance, corporate security, and risk management.
Commissioner Wrenn said, “Director Forbes has a wide array of experience which will be important in this new position. He is a focused leader adept at developing effective working relationships with senior management, staff, and members of the public.”
In his new capacity, Director Forbes will oversee all aspects the Department’s Investigations Bureau, Hearings Office, Polygraph Unit, and Audit section. He begins his new duties on October 9, 2009.
