NHDOC Investigates Security Breach
(Concord, NH) The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is investigating how an internal confidential document found its way into a minimum security inmate’s room at the Transitional Work Center in Concord. During a routine cell search on Friday, July 31, 2009, a sixty-four page staffing document dated March 1, 2008 was discovered. It is produced for internal tracking purposes only and includes the names of DOC employees, their title, their location assignment, their labor grade, the appropriation code, and their Social Security numbers.
The Department is seeking guidance from the Attorney General’s office on how to proceed and will follow the notification process outlined in RSA 359-C:20, Notice of Security Breach.
The Department is conducting a thorough investigation and upon completion will determine the appropriate action or response.
