Goffstown Rotary Donates to Women's Prison
(Goffstown, N.H.) The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announced that it has received a financial donation for the New Hampshire State Prison for Women’s Library to be used to purchase books. The Goffstown Rotary club raised funds to provide approximately $500 in books to the facility. The donations were recently approved by the Governor and Executive Council.
Corrections Commissioner William L. Wrenn thanked the Goffstown Rotary club and said, “We appreciate the efforts of community organizations like this and the donation that they have provided will be put to positive use.”
Rotary Club President John Hikel said that his group plans to raise funds annually to continue providing donations to the prison’s library.
