Correctional Industries Retail Store Corrections Creations to Open Saturdays
(Concord, N.H.) Customers of the New Hampshire Department of Corrections Correctional Industries Retail Store, Corrections Creations will now have a convenient additional shopping day to browse and purchase inmate-made products. Beginning in April the store will be extending its daily shopping hours to Tuesday through Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The new hours are effective April 5, 2008, which coincides with the annual Made in New Hampshire Exposition in Manchester. New Hampshire Correctional Industries will also have a booth at that weekend event.
On Saturday, the store will have an employee on duty but customers who purchase larger items will have to bring their own resources. Purchases can be made with checks, Visa, and Master cards only. No cash is accepted.
Corrections Creations opened at its new location in 2001 although the retail store had been operating since the 1980’s. Visitors can find a wide variety of furniture, wood products, quilts, jewelry, and artwork produced and created by inmates from the New Hampshire male and female prison facilities. |
