Assistant Commissioner Confirmed
(Concord, NH) The New Hampshire Executive Council confirmed the nomination of William G. McGonagle, 57, as Assistant Commissioner on January 30, 2008. The decision was unanimous. He will begin his new duties on February 8, 2008.
McGonagle is the Manager of Quality Improvement for the Division of Juvenile Justice Services. He was Director of Education at the New Hampshire State Prison in Concord from March 1986 until February 2003.
Commissioner William L. Wrenn said, “Bill has a strong history as a manager and a firm understanding of Correctional management and law enforcement. This experience will be valuable as the Department implements its long term and short-term goals and priorities.”
