Assistant Director for Probation/Parole Picked

(Concord, NH) The New Hampshire Department of Corrections Division of Field Services Director Michael McAlister announced that Probation/Parole Officer III Jerome “Chris” Callahan, II has been appointed Assistant Director for the Division. This position has been vacant since May 2004.

Hired as Probation/Parole Officer by the Department of Corrections in May 1988, PPO Callahan served as Chief of the Claremont District Probation/Parole Office since October 2002.

“Chris brings with him a broad mix of field and supervisory experience which will serve him well in his new capacity,” Director McAlister said.

In March he also published an article in the nationally distributed college textbook Probation, Parole, and Community Corrections, by Dr. Dean John Champion from Pearson Prentice Hall, Inc.
