Department of Corrections Employees Participate in Multiple Sclerosis Challenge Walk
(Cape Cod, Massachusetts) During the weekend of September 7-9, 2007, four New Hampshire Department of Corrections employees raised nearly $9,000.00 for Multiple Sclerosis research. Calling themselves “The D-Terminators,” the employees were among 700 people completing the fifty mile course.
Probation/Parole Officers Jeffrey A. Shanahan, Dawn Lennon, and Christopher D. Regan of the Exeter District Probation/Parole Office and Probation/Parole Officer James M. Moran, of the Concord District Office collectively raised $8,800. The total amount raised by all walkers was approximately $1.3 million.
PPO Shanahan said, “I think this was a great example of DOC employees participating in an event that affects the lives of so many people.”
The D-Terminators are already recruiting a team for next year and hope to raise even more for MS Research in 2008.
