First Inmate Programs Fair a Success
(Concord, NH) The New Hampshire State Prison for Men in Concord held its first Programs Fair on March 29, 2007. It was an opportunity for inmates to meet with Program Providers and Administrators in a single area to explore programming and treatment options. Several hundred inmates attended the fair.
Participants included staff representatives from Substance Abuse Services, Granite State High School, New Hampshire Correctional Industries, Food Services, and the Chapel among others.
With the interest shown by offenders by this first fair, the New Hampshire Department of Corrections is preparing to run another fair at a later date and expand it to all four of its state prison facilities.
