(Concord, NH) Employees of the New Hampshire Department of Corrections participate in the sixth annual blood drive at the New Hampshire State Prison in Concord on Wednesday March 21, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The American Red Cross will be conducting the blood drive, which is open to Corrections employees only. The blood drive will occur in the prison’s Minimum Security Unit on the prison grounds at 281 North State Street.
The annual event began as a way to honor those who were killed in the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001. Since March 2002, 263 pints of blood have been collected.
