Lakes Region Facility recognizes local public safety agencies

(Laconia, NH)  Sixteen area police and fire departments received a big thank you from the Lakes Region Facility in Laconia on September 11, 2006 for their endless commitment and dedication to the community.  Warden Jane Coplan and three prison employees volunteered their time to deliver baskets of appreciation to the local agencies.

“We wanted to make a positive contribution on the anniversary of September 11 by showing our appreciation to those who make a difference to the citizens of the Lakes Region,” Warden Coplan said.

The baskets were decorated in red, white, and blue and filled with cookies and brownies. Warden Coplan and three employees personally delivered them to the Laconia, Tilton, Meredith, Franklin, Gilford and Belmont Police and Fire Departments. A certificate of appreciation from the New Hampshire Department of Corrections was included.

Also volunteering to bake the snacks and deliver the baskets were Security Captain Christopher Kench, Operations Lt. Kevin LeBlanc, and Human Resources Coordinator Linda McDonald.
