MISSING INMATE RETURNED TO PRISON

(Windham, NH) A New Hampshire halfway house inmate who was reported missing from North End House in Concord yesterday has been returned to the New Hampshire State Prison. On July 13, at approximately 10:45 AM, inmate Daniel David Fichera, 31, of Lowell, Massachusetts, called the New Hampshire State Prison to turn himself in. At approximately 11:45 AM, A New Hampshire State Police Trooper and a New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigator apprehended him at the Hillside Country Store in Windham at approximately 11:45 AM without incident.

Inmate Fichera failed to return to North End House at the appropriate time after he received permission to seek employment.

Commissioner Stephen J. Curry said, “The successful conclusion to this incident is attributed to a cooperative effort between the Department of Corrections and New Hampshire State Police.”
